🔥 PREMIUM NIGHT-SHIFT MED SURG NEURO RN CONTRACT – 1ST TIMERS OK
First Connect Health has an immediate 13-week travel opening for a highly skilled Medical-Surgical Neurovascular Registered Nurse (RN) in Portland, Oregon. Operating within a premier, 536-bed short-term acute care teaching facility, this position focuses on specialized neurovascular and medical-surgical clinical delivery. 💰 PRE-CALCULATED PAY PACKAGE
- Weekly Gross: $1,870.00
- Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,150.00
- Hourly W2 Rate: $20.00/hr
- Overtime Rate: $30.00/hr
📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS
- Schedule: Night shifts, 3x12-Hours (19:00 - 07:00). Bypasses rigid block scheduling formats.
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 regular hours guaranteed weekly.
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratios: Excellent, stable 1:4 staffing ratios across day, night, and weekend rotations.
- Weekend Coverage: Rotating every other weekend required.
- On-Call Requirements: Yes, if a scheduled shift is cancelled due to census variations, you are required to remain available on-call for the unit.
- EMR Charting System: Epic.
- Clinical Scope & Care Settings: Dedicated clinical tracking across Med/Surg, MS/Telemetry, and Respiratory overflow lines. Specialized patient mixes encompass advanced neurological/psychiatric conditions, Cerebrovascular Accidents (CVA/Stroke), pre/post neurosurgery care, spinal cord injuries, substance withdrawal management, and traumatic brain injuries (TBI).
- Core Responsibilities: Proficient neuro skills, O2 protocol management, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions/PPE tracking, IV therapy, phlebotomy, peripheral line care, cardiac monitoring, and seamless coordination with Rapid Response/Code teams.
🚨 REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience as an RN (2 years of med/surg or neurovascular acute care experience is highly preferred).
- Licensure: Valid Oregon State Nursing License is required (candidates can submit with a pending OR license unless specified otherwise by the system).
- Certifications Required: Active AHA BLS and NIHSS certifications are strictly required to clear the portal gate.
- Transportation Mandate: Clinicians MUST possess their own personal vehicle for this specific assignment.
