Description
Local Radius Rule: Candidates residing within a 50-mile radius are not accepted. The candidate's permanent physical address MUST be explicitly included in the initial submission packet to verify compliance before the manager will review the profile.
Required Qualifications & Hard Stops
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of solid Telemetry experience is strictly required. First-time travelers are not explicitly barred, but must meet all core clinical criteria.
- Certifications (Must have in hand):
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
Required Clinical Skills & Competencies
- Cardiac Drips: Must have strong cardiac drip experience.
- Titration Rule: RNs are NOT required to titrate drips on this floor.
- Common Infusions: Will commonly see set-rate Diltiazem (Cardizem) and Amiodarone. No Epinephrine or Nitroglycerin is allowed on this unit.
- Post-Cath Recovery: Must have recent post-cardiac cath recovery experience. Nurses will not pull vascular sheaths, but must be highly proficient with TR Bands and FemStops.
- Stroke & Pulmonary: Must have active experience performing NIH stroke assessments and managing patients with chest tubes.
