HOT JOB: STEPDOWN / PROGRESSIVE CARE RN – 3x12 NIGHTS (BAY CITY, MI) 

I am fast-tracking applications for an experienced, highly adaptable Progressive Care / Stepdown Registered Nurse. This is a 13-week night-shift contract at a premier regional medical facility in Bay City, Michigan, featuring an immediate priority review pipeline.

POSITION QUICK-FACTS

• Shift Schedule: 19:00 PM - 07:30 AM | 12-Hour Night Shifts
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours weekly
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend (EOW) rotation is required.
• On-Call Mandate: None – No call required!
• Systems & Charting: Cerner EMR (Required).
• Patient Ratios: 1:6 ratio footprint.
• Dress Code: Solid Navy Blue scrubs (traveler provided).

THE CLINICAL MATRIX

• The Environment: High-acuity stepdown setting managing intermediate, complex medical-surgical and transitional critical care patients.
• Clinical Case Mix: Comprehensive specialized care targeting post-surgical recoveries, stable mechanical ventilation pathways, acute cardiac events, and stroke patients requiring precise, frequent neurological assessments.
• Core Competencies: Must be fully independent in operating advanced patient monitoring systems, interpreting continuous telemetry streams, managing complex intravenous (IV) therapies, and titrating ordered vasoactive drips.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS (HARDSTOPS)

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of current, dedicated RN Stepdown / Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience is an absolute requirement.
• Technical Proficiencies: Verifiable, hands-on experience with telemetry monitoring and the Cerner EMR system must be explicitly stated on your profile.
• Licensure: Active, unrestricted Michigan (MI) state RN license must be active and in-hand at the time of submission. Profiles with pending state licenses will be immediately rejected.
• Certifications: Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS and ACLS certificates are required at submittal.
• Geographic Policy: Both local and travel candidates are accepted. All candidates residing within a strict 35-mile radius of the facility are designated as local travelers and will be subject to a rate reduction.
