Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - SSSU/PACU
Location: Clarkston, Washington
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Four 10-hour day shifts per week, with shared on-call rotation
Hours per Week: 36
Job Description
- Provide nursing care in the Same Day Surgery Unit (SSSU) and Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
- Float across the entire Outpatient Services area, including Day Surgery, Endoscopy Lab, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Pre-operative Clinic, and support hospital needs for conscious sedation during special procedures.
- Utilize strong skills in pre-operative care, PACU, and Phase II recovery.
- Perform nursing assessments, peri-operative education, and care.
- Monitor and recognize post-anesthesia and post-operative complications.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Washington
- Minimum 2 years of Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Additional Information
- Schedule includes shared on-call rotation.
- Must be able to work a variable schedule within the outlined shift pattern.
