Description

šŸ”„ PREMIUM WEEKEND NIGHT-SHIFT ULTRASOUND TECHNOLOGIST CONTRACT – STAT/ASAP TRIAGE

Ā

First Connect Health has an immediate 13-week travel opening for a highly skilled General Ultrasound Technologist (US Tech) in Olympia, Washington. Operating within a 325-bed short-term acute care infrastructure at Providence Saint Peter Hospital, this role features a dedicated weekend night schedule. If you are looking to avoid mandatory on-call constraints, secure premium Pacific Northwest tax-free stipends, and focus your clinical skills on fast-paced emergency and obstetric triage scanning, this contract is tailored for you!

Ā

Please note: First-time travel technologists are warmly accepted on this assignment as long as they possess a minimum of 2 years of clinical acute care experience!

Ā

šŸ’° PRE-CALCULATED PAY PACKAGE

  • Weekly Gross: $2,101.00
  • Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,525.00
  • Hourly W2 Rate: $16.00/hr
  • Overtime Rate: $24.00/hr

šŸ“… SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 3x12-Hours (19:00 PM - 07:30 AM). Runs as a dedicated weekend night track with 3 weekend night shifts required every single week. Bypasses standard block scheduling parameters.
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 regular hours guaranteed weekly.
  • On-Call Requirements: Completely free from standard on-call obligations!
  • EMR Charting System: Epic experience is required.
  • Clinical Scope & Triage Focus: The core expectation for this night shift is to rapidly cover incoming STAT and ASAP orders throughout the entire 400-bed facility layout. This heavily consists of Emergency Department (ER) scans and OB triage orders—some of which are bedside portables, though most patients can be transported directly into the ultrasound department rooms. Routine scheduled exams are not an expectation of this shift (though assistance with routines at the very beginning or tail-end of a block is highly appreciated). Note: Special interventional procedures are not performed during this shift.
  • Anatomy & Specialty Imaging: Comprehensive diagnostic mapping covering standard abdominal lines (aorta, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, spleen, appendix), renal/pelvis studies (bladder, uterus, ovaries, hernia, prostate, transvaginal), small parts (superficial masses, testicles/scrotum, thyroid), and high-acuity vascular studies (carotids, color flow, Doppler, upper/lower extremity arterial and venous duplex). Basic OB/GYN tracking covers 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-trimester parameters, amniotic fluid index, and placenta previa checks. Patient populations span all age groups from neonates to geriatrics.
  • Hardware Suite: Direct hands-on utilization of advanced GE and Siemens scanning hardware platforms alongside PACS networking logs. Ratios run stable at 1:1 across a 6-room scanning department.

🚨 REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of post-graduate clinical experience as a General Ultrasound Tech. Prior exposure to high-volume acute care settings, ER flows, or teaching hospital environments is highly preferred.
  • Registry Credentials: Active ARDMS registration is a strict requirement. Candidates must hold either ARDMS (AB) OR ARDMS (OB/GYN) certification—possessing both is not required.
  • Certifications Required: Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is completely mandatory to clear the portal filters (AHA cards only).

šŸ“ Strict Travel Radius Exclusion Rule: A rigid geographical policy applies to this network. Local travelers with a permanent residence established within 50 miles of the facility campus center are completely ineligible for a travel contract. Furthermore, former permanent Providence system staff must observe standard health-system separation policies to return under agency files. šŸš— Facility Floating Expectations: Travelers must be prepared to float flexibly across acute care inpatient floors, ICU tracks, pediatric environments, and emergency spaces within their technical general/vascular skill set to meet hospital triage demands. šŸ–ļø Upfront Requested Time Off (RTO) Limits: A maximum of 1 pre-approved RTO request can be detailed under current system guidelines. All desired time off must be explicitly disclosed at the exact moment of initial submission; post-submission RTO will be automatically declined by the client portal. šŸ“‹ Hard Submission Vetting Checklist: Submittals must contain verified ARDMS registry documentation (clearly specifying AB or OB/GYN status) and complete copies of active certifications (BLS). A minimum of 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years (inclusive of Charge Techs or Lead Leads) must be provided during the standard onboarding compliance loop.
