HOT JOB: RADIATION THERAPIST – 5x8 DAYS (PITTSFIELD, MA)

I am fast-tracking applications for an experienced, highly independent Radiation Therapist to support an award-winning oncology department in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. This is a 13-week contract featuring a stable daytime schedule, a guaranteed 40-hour workweek, and an immediate review pipeline at a top-ranked regional teaching hospital.

POSITION QUICK-FACTS

• Start Date: 08/03/2026 (13 Weeks)
• Shift Schedule: 07:00 AM - 16:30 PM | 8-Hour Day Shifts (Monday through Friday)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours weekly (Note: Alternative 10-hour or 12-hour shifts will not be considered).
• Weekend & Holiday Requirements: No weekends standard (TBD if needed); holiday coverage required if scheduling demands arise.
• On-Call Mandate: None – No call required!
• Systems & Orientation: 8 hours of initial non-billable orientation.
• Logistics Note: Travelers must have their own reliable vehicle for this assignment.

THE CLINICAL MATRIX

• The Environment: A prominent 298-bed teaching hospital nationally recognized for patient safety, holding straight "A" safety grades and multiple patient safety excellence awards.
• Core Modalities: Administer highly precise radiation therapy treatments under the direct supervision of the Radiation Oncologist across both scheduled and emergent clinical environments.
• Technical Scope: Autonomously manage daily treatment schedules, execute simulations, perform dosimetry functions, and fabricate blocks in preparation for patient treatments.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work dynamically in a fast-paced, high-stress setting alongside oncology nursing and medical physics teams to optimize patient care and safety protocols.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS (HARDSTOPS)

• Experience: Minimum 2+ years of current, dedicated Radiation Therapist experience is an absolute requirement. Prior travel contract experience is preferred.
• Licensure: Active, unrestricted Massachusetts (MA) Radiology license must be active and uploaded with your profile at the time of submission. The facility will not consider profiles with pending state licenses [HARDSTOP].
• Registries & Certifications: Active ARRT registration and current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification must be in-hand.
• Geographic Policy: Travel candidates only. This facility maintains a strict 50-mile radius restriction. Candidates residing within 50 miles of the Pittsfield, MA campus will not be considered. Your permanent home address must be verified at the time of profile upload.
• Communication Requirement: Your phone's voicemail box must be fully set up and cleared. The facility will immediately redirect and skip candidates who cannot be reached or do not have an active voicemail configuration when they call to interview.

TIME OFF (RTO) POLICY [STRICT]

• All Requested Time Off (RTO) must be explicitly disclosed and locked into your profile at the time of submission.
• No more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted for the entire contract (less is highly preferred).
• The facility will automatically reject any scheduling or time-off requests brought up during the interview or after an offer is extended. Late requests will result in an immediate rescinded offer.

REQUIRED SUBMISSION PROFILE DOCUMENTS

2. Clinical Skills Checklist specific to Radiation Therapy (completed within the last 12 months).
