HOT JOB: MED-SURG / TELEMETRY FLOAT POOL RN – 3x12 NIGHTS (BAY CITY, MI)

I am fast-tracking applications for two experienced, highly adaptable Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Registered Nurses to join a dynamic float pool network in Bay City, Michigan. This is a 13-week contract featuring a guaranteed 36-hour night schedule, zero on-call obligations, and an immediate review pipeline.

POSITION QUICK-FACTS

• Shift Schedule: 12-Hour Night Shifts | 36 hours weekly guaranteed
• Weekend Requirements: Scheduled every other weekend (EOW) rotation.
• On-Call Mandate: None – No call required!
• Systems & Charting: Cerner EMR
• Dress Code: Solid Navy Blue scrubs (traveler provided).

THE CLINICAL MATRIX

• The Environment: A prominent 404-bed regional acute care hospital system treating over 45,000 emergency patients annually and serving as a regional leader in cardiovascular and neuroscience care.
• The Role: This position requires placement within the facility's dedicated Med-Surg Float Pool. You will be dynamically deployed across various medical-surgical and telemetry units based on real-time census, volume shifts, and patient acuity trends.
• Core Responsibilities:
  • Perform comprehensive admissions assessments and continuous telemetry rhythm tracking.
  • Prepare, administer, and chart complex medications, handle intravenous (IV) therapies, and manage specialized wound care tracking.
  • Coordinate care alongside multidisciplinary teams, recognize early signs of clinical deterioration, and execute swift stabilizing interventions.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS (HARDSTOPS)

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of current, dedicated Medical-Surgical AND Telemetry experience is an absolute requirement [HARDSTOP]. Float pool or multi-unit experience is highly preferred.
• Licensure: Active, unrestricted Michigan (MI) state RN license must be active and in-hand at the time of submission. Profiles with pending state licenses cannot be considered.
• Certifications: Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification.
• Geographic Policy: Both local and travel candidates are accepted. All candidates with a permanent address verified within a strict 35-mile radius of the facility are designated as local travelers and will be subject to a 10% bill rate reduction.
