First Connect Health has an immediate 13-week travel opening for a highly versatile Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) in Odessa, Texas. Operating within the Main Operating Room at Medical Center Hospital, this high-acuity position features a reliable Monday-through-Thursday daytime schedule. 💰 PRE-CALCULATED PAY PACKAGE
- Weekly Gross: $2,522.00
- Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,442.00
- Hourly W2 Rate: $27.00/hr
- Overtime Rate: $40.50/hr
📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS
- Schedule: Day shifts, 4x10-Hours (06:30 AM - 17:00 PM), running strictly Monday through Thursday. Features a guaranteed block scheduling format.
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 regular hours guaranteed weekly.
- On-Call Requirements: Active on-call rotation is required, structured as 1 weeknight per week and 1 weekend per month to support emergency surgical surges.
- Patient Ratios: Strict 1:1 intraoperative care models.
- Clinical Scope & Vetting: Highly diverse service line setting. Proven case management includes Da Vinci Xi surgical robotics, orthopedics, acute trauma, general surgery, gynecology (including C-sections), urology, neuro/spine, and complex vascular lines. Additional minor service cross-exposure includes basic ENT, plastics, pain management, and ophthalmology cases.
- Core Responsibilities: Strict universal protocol (Time Out) execution, administration of blood/blood products, conscious sedation monitoring, infection control, specimen handling/labeling, bladder catheterization, and active laser/radiation safety compliance.
🚨 REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience as an OR RN is required. Preferably looking for seasoned clinicians with more than 3 years of specialty experience who have previously worked in a Teaching Hospital, Community Hospital, and LTAC infrastructure. Prior travel experience is required.
- Licensure: Valid Texas State Nursing License or an active Multi-State Compact RN License must be active at submission.
- Certifications Required: Current AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications are strictly mandatory to clear the portal filters (AHA cards only).
- Vaccine Guidelines: Facility mandates full compliance with standard Influenza vaccination rules (approved medical or religious exemptions/declinations are permitted). COVID-19 vaccine is not required.
