HOT JOB: INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY (IR) TECH – 4x9 DAYS & CALL (MILWAUKEE, WI)
I am fast-tracking applications for an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist. This is a 13-week day-shift contract at a prominent medical center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, featuring an immediate priority review pipeline.
POSITION QUICK-FACTS
- Start Date: 08/02/2026 – 10/31/2026 (13 Weeks)
- Shift Schedule: 07:30 AM - 17:00 PM | 9-Hour Day Shifts | 4 Days per Week
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours weekly
- On-Call Mandate: Based on departmental needs. The current rotation structure is:
- Weekdays: 1 to 2 days per week.
- Weekends: Every 3rd weekend rotation.
- Holidays: Call as needed; expected to cover at least 2 holidays during the contract term.
- Systems & Charting: Epic EMR (Required).
THE CLINICAL MATRIX
- The Environment: A fast-paced, high-acuity Interventional Radiology suite requiring exceptional technical precision and swift procedural synchronization.
- Clinical Case Mix: Assist with a comprehensive range of vascular, non-vascular, and specialized interventional procedures. Experience in Neuro IR (stroke interventions, embolizations, aneurysm coilings) is highly preferred to support advanced neurovascular cases.
- Core Duties: Scrub in and circulate during complex image-guided procedures. Ensure absolute sterile field maintenance, operate high-end fluoroscopy and digital subtraction angiography (DSA) equipment, and track inventory/devices dynamically.
- Float Pool Scope: Must be willing to float onsite within your skill set or deploy to regional sister facility sites located within a 40-mile radius if structurally required by the network.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS (HARDSTOPS)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of current, dedicated IR experience is required (3 years preferred). Prior travel contract experience is highly valued. Neuro IR competency is strongly preferred.
- Licensure: Active, unrestricted Wisconsin (WI) Radiographer License must be in-hand at the time of submission.
- Registries & Certifications:
- Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists registration in Radiography (ARRT (R)) is required.
- Vascular Interventional radiography certification (ARRT (VI)) is required.
- Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification.
- Geographic Policy: Both travel and local candidates are fully accepted. Local candidates qualifying under the regional local billing structure will be processed at the local rate.
