Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Paramedic to provide high-quality emergency medical care in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing patients, delivering advanced life support (ALS), administering emergency treatments, and ensuring safe patient transport while maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with all clinical protocols.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide advanced pre-hospital patient care.
  • Assess, stabilize, and treat patients experiencing medical or traumatic emergencies.
  • Perform advanced life support (ALS) procedures in accordance with established protocols.
  • Administer medications, intravenous therapy, oxygen, and other emergency treatments as indicated.
  • Monitor and document patient condition, treatment provided, and response to interventions.
  • Operate and maintain emergency medical equipment and ambulance supplies.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, emergency department staff, and other healthcare professionals during patient handoff.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations, organizational policies, and EMS protocols.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, continuing education, and mandatory training.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Graduate of an accredited Paramedic program.
  • Current State Paramedic License in good standing.
  • Current National Registry Paramedic (NRP) certification (preferred, if applicable).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred or required based on facility needs.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record (if operating emergency vehicles).

Preferred Experience

  • Minimum 1–2 years of Paramedic experience in emergency medical services, hospital emergency department, or critical care transport preferred.
  • Experience with advanced airway management, cardiac emergencies, trauma care, and emergency pharmacology.
  • Familiarity with electronic patient care reporting (ePCR) systems.
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to perform effectively under pressure.
