🔥 PREMIUM DAY-SHIFT SURGICAL TECH CONTRACT – 3x12 DAYS
First Connect Health has an immediate 13-week travel opening for a highly capable Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) in Potsdam, New York. Operating within the general surgical suite at Saint Lawrence - Canton - Potsdam Hospital, this assignment offers a consistent daytime routine. 💰 PRE-CALCULATED PAY PACKAGE
- Weekly Gross: $1,800.00
- Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,224.00
- Hourly W2 Rate: $16.00/hr
- Overtime Rate: $24.00/hr
📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS
- Schedule: Day shifts, 3x12-Hours (07:00 AM - 19:30 PM). Block scheduling configurations are not available for this role.
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 regular hours guaranteed weekly.
- On-Call Expectations: Features a fair-share on-call rotation tracking at 1 weeknight per week and 1 weekend out of every 4 or 5. Weeknight call covers 19:00 PM to 07:00 AM the following morning. Weekend call spans 07:00 AM Saturday through 07:00 AM Monday.
- Call Back Vetting: A strict 20-minute call-back response radius requirement is enforced. A dedicated on-call house is provided by the facility for clinicians who live outside the response zone.
- Clinical Scope & Surgical Pacing: Comprehensive multi-specialty case support within a community hospital setting. Core surgery lines encompass Orthopedics (arthroscopy, open/closed reductions, laminectomy/discectomy), ENT (endoscopic sinus, radical neck dissection, tonsillectomy, tracheostomy), General Surgery (appendectomy, cholecystectomy, open/lap colon resections, thyroidectomy, Whipple procedures), OB/GYN (abdominal/vaginal hysterectomies, tubal ligations, C-sections, D&C), Urology (cystoscopy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy), and Podiatry cases. Patient groups span all ages, with a preferred focus on infants, pediatrics, and adolescents.
- Core Responsibilities: Scrubbing experience, strict aseptic technique, instrument processing, sterilization/disinfection tracking, scope care, and case cart preparation.
- Dress Code: Scrub uniforms are directly provided by the facility in a grey color format.
🚨 REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience as a Surgical Tech. Must possess hands-on robotic surgical experience and scrubbing/circulating habits. Community hospital experience is required.
- Licensure: Valid New York State clinical compliance parameters apply; your active state license/registration MUST be fully active and in-hand at the exact time of submission—no exceptions.
- Certifications Required: Current NBSTSA certification and active AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) are completely mandatory to pass automated portal gates. AHA ACLS certification is preferred.
