🔥 OUTPATIENT ORTHOPEDIC X-RAY TECHNOLOGIST CONTRACT – NO WEEKENDS OR ON-CALL

First Connect Health has an immediate 13-week travel opening for a highly adaptable Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray Tech) in Newark, New York. Operating within the specialized Rochester Regional Health System network at the WNY Finger Lakes Bone and Joint clinic, this orthopedic imaging position offers an excellent, highly predictable Monday-through-Friday daytime routine. Please note: First-time travel technologists are warmly accepted on this assignment if they meet core baseline diagnostic experience and New York state licensing requirements!

💰 PRE-CALCULATED PAY PACKAGE

Weekly Gross: $2,108.50
Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,246.00
Hourly W2 Rate: $23.00/hr
Overtime Rate: $34.50/hr

📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

Schedule: Day shifts, 5x7.5-Hours (07:30 AM - 16:00 PM), Monday through Friday. Completely free from weekend or on-call obligations!
Guaranteed Hours: 37.5 regular hours guaranteed weekly.
Clinical Scope & Speed: Fast-paced outpatient orthopedic environment requiring strong critical thinking and the ability to work independently. Technologists must be flexible, dependable, punctual, and possess excellent communication skills.
Anatomy & Technical Competencies: Full diagnostic proficiency across extensive skeletal anatomical markings. Handled structures include lower extremities (ankle, femur, foot, knee), spine and pelvis (cervical spine, hip, lumbar spine, thoracic spine), and upper extremities (AC joints, clavicle, elbow, forearm, hand, humerus, scapula, shoulder, thumb or finger, wrist).
EMR Charting System: Epic experience is highly preferred.

Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience as an X-Ray Tech. Prior dedicated orthopedic imaging experience is required.
Licensure: Valid New York State Radiologist Shield/Allied License is a non-negotiable hard stop and must be active and fully in-hand at the exact time of profile submission.
Certifications Required: Current ARRT (R) registration and an active AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are mandatory to clear the portal filters.

📍 Strict Travel Radius Exclusion Rule: A rigid geographical radius policy applies to this regional network. Candidates whose permanent residence is established within 75 miles of the facility campus center are completely ineligible for a travel contract. Local candidates who fall outside this travel bracket but are within a general regional limit may be accepted at a lower, adjusted local hourly rate. Former permanent staff members must observe a mandatory 1-year separation window before returning on a travel contract. 🚗 Mandatory Network Census Floating: Multi-site floating is required. Travelers must be prepared to float flexibly to all other associated regional clinic locations as needed based on system demands. 🏖️ Upfront Requested Time Off (RTO) Limits: A maximum of 1 pre-approved RTO block request can be detailed under current system guidelines. Portal guidelines enforce a hard cap restricting maximum RTO to 10 days total per contract block; candidates requiring more than 10 days of time off cannot be submitted.
