Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a community-based vaccination initiative. In this patient-facing role, you will administer a variety of immunizations, including influenza, COVID-19, MMR, and other recommended vaccines, while delivering exceptional patient care in a retail healthcare setting.

The ideal candidate is clinically proficient, adaptable, customer-focused, and committed to improving community health through safe and effective vaccine administration.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Administer vaccines including Influenza, COVID-19, MMR, and other CDC-recommended immunizations following established protocols.
• Perform patient assessments, review medical history, and screen for vaccine eligibility and contraindications.
• Educate patients regarding vaccines, potential side effects, aftercare instructions, and preventive healthcare practices.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions following immunization and respond appropriately to emergencies.
• Accurately document vaccinations and patient information in the electronic medical record and applicable immunization systems.
• Maintain compliance with infection prevention, safety standards, and clinical best practices.
• Collaborate with pharmacists, healthcare professionals, and support staff to ensure efficient clinic operations.
• Deliver outstanding patient service while maintaining professionalism, empathy, and compassion.
• Support a positive team environment by adapting to changing workflows and assisting with operational needs.

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
• Minimum one (1) year of nursing experience, including immunization administration.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong clinical skills, including medication administration and vaccine delivery.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Must not be listed on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
• Verifiable High School Diploma or GED.
• Candidate must be flexible with scheduling and work hours.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail, outpatient, or community health settings.
• Experience administering high-volume vaccination clinics.
• Strong customer service and patient engagement skills.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

Work Schedule

• Days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
• Approximately 40 hours per week
• Onsite, patient-facing position

• Retail pharmacy/community healthcare setting.
