HOT JOB: LABOR & DELIVERY RN – 3x12 MID-WEEK START (STARKVILLE, MS)

 

I am fast-tracking applications for two highly competent Labor & Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurses to join the maternal-child health team in Starkville, Mississippi. This 13-week contract features an immediate review pipeline, mid-week onboarding, and a streamlined profile submission structure.

 

POSITION QUICK-FACTS

  • Start Date: 08/05/2026 – 11/07/2026 (13 Weeks)
  • Positions Available: 2 Open Openings
  • Shift Schedule: 12-Hour Shifts | Specific shift details (Day or Night) to be finalized during interview.
  • Onboarding Logistics: Wednesday Start Date. Your initial orientation and onboarding will launch on a mid-week Wednesday schedule.
  • Scheduling Structure: Weekend coverage is required, running on a standard alternating every-other-weekend rotation.
  • Systems & Charting: Epic EMR [REQUIRED]
  • Geographic Policy: A standard 50-mile radius restriction applies; local candidates living within this zone will be subject to localized internal guidelines.

THE CLINICAL MATRIX (UNIT: LABOR & DELIVERY)

  • The Environment: A community-focused, fast-paced maternal-child health department managing labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum (LDRP) workflows.
  • Core Competencies: Autonomously manage high- and low-risk laboring patients, monitor fetal heart tracings, assist with epidural/spinal placements, circulate circulating C-sections, and provide immediate post-delivery stabilization.
  • Clinical Mix: Prioritize safe, patient-centered family care while dynamically collaborating with OB/GYN physicians, pediatricians, and fellow unit staff during critical delivery windows.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS (HARDSTOPS)

  • Experience Baseline: Minimum 2+ years of current, dedicated Labor & Delivery experience as an RN. Must be highly confident in fetal monitoring and intrapartum nursing.
  • Systems Competency [HARDSTOP]: Prior independent charting experience in Epic EMR is strictly required. First-day competency is expected.
  • Licensure: Active, unrestricted Mississippi (MS) state RN license or valid multi-state Compact license must be active and in-hand at the time of submission.
  • Certifications: Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS and ACLS certificates. Active NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification is highly preferred.
