About Facility:
o Address: 709 Spring Valley Rd. Burlington, WI 53105
Address: 146 E. Geneva Square, Lake Geneva, WI 53147 (secondary location; potential to float to cover Ortho here as well)
General Information:
o Beds: N/A
o Will you accept a traveler with 1-year experience? Yes
o Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
Patient Types:
o Routine ambulatory/clinic visits.
o Appointment types include new consult, follow-up, post-operative, and some in-office procedures, dependent on specialty
- Ortho – Cast application/removal, splinting, staple/suture removal, surgery scheduling, phone triage, inbasket management, patient education
Patients seen in a day:
o 15-25 patients per day, dependent on specialty/visit type
Required Certifications:
o BLS
Skills required:
o RN: triage, assisting with procedures, vital signs, medication refills, wound care, casting/splinting, catheter insertion/care, scheduling of surgeries; Can train on any of these areas, if needed
o MA: vital signs, rooming patients, preparing injection/procedural trays, casting, order entry; Can train on any of these areas, if needed
Support on the Unit:
o CNA – All clinical practices are comprised of a combination of RN/LPN/MA support.
o Receptionist/HUC – PSRs (Patient Service Representatives) on site to assist in patient check-in and scheduling as well as general patient phone calls.
o Charge nurse: Clinical questions/concerns and general needs can be directed to Supervisor or Manager (both RNs)
Technology/Equipment:
o EMR: EPIC
Floating: If yes, where?
o Yes – role will cover and float to several areas within the same facility. Will try to give consistency within a specific area, as able; however, needs will dictate where the RN/MA is placed and how often they cover another department.
Orientation:
o Includes general onboarding as well as department specific; generally completed within the first week
Scheduling:
o Weekend rotation: None
o On call? No
o Holiday Expectations: Clinic closed for 6 recognized holidays
o Approval of RTO: To go through manager
o Shift times: Various hours between 0700-1700, Monday-Friday
o Schedule cycle:

o Parking: First day parking in general patient/visitor lot, then employee parking once badge access is obtained
