Position Details

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health / Psychiatric Facility
Location: 915 River Rd., Middletown, CT 06457
Assignment Length: 12 Weeks (Extension Possible)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 40 Hours/Week (Overtime Available)

Available Shifts:

Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Evening Shift: 2:45 PM – 11:15 PM
Night Shift: 11:10 PM – 7:10 AM

Compensation

Pay Rate: $78.00/hour (W2)
Overtime Rate: $117.00/hour (W2)

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide nursing care in a state-operated behavioral health and psychiatric facility. The RN will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care while supporting individuals with behavioral and mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care in a behavioral health/psychiatric setting.
Perform patient assessments and monitor mental and physical health status.
Administer medications and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
Support patient safety through crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary treatment team.
Ensure compliance with facility policies and nursing standards.

Minimum Requirements: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Connecticut or Compact License preferred). Strong communication and patient care skills. Behavioral health or psychiatric nursing experience is preferred but not required. Ability to work in a structured, fast-paced clinical environment.
