Travel Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Kansas City, MO
Location: Research Medical Center – Kansas City, Missouri
Assignment Dates: February 16, 2026 – May 18, 2026
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; rotating weekends preferred but flexible
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Setting: Acute Care & Inpatient Rehabilitation
Contract Type: Travel Assignment

About the Facility
Research Medical Center is a Level I Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center located in Kansas City, Missouri. This facility treats a diverse patient population and offers therapists the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a broad range of clinical diagnoses.
Position Summary
Research Medical Center is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide coverage across both Acute Care and Inpatient Rehabilitation services. The selected clinician will manage a shared caseload alongside the therapy team, treating patients with a variety of medical, neurological, and rehabilitation needs.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients in Acute Care and Inpatient Rehabilitation settings
- Perform bedside swallow evaluations
- Provide speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing therapy services
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Complete documentation using Meditech EMR
- Float between Acute Care and Rehab units as needed
Required Qualifications
- Current Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the State of Missouri
- Experience performing bedside swallow evaluations
- Ability to work effectively in a hospital setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with video fluoroscopic swallow studies (Modified Barium Swallow Studies)
- Acute Care and/or Inpatient Rehabilitation experience
- Experience working in trauma or stroke populations
