Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to provide high-quality perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced surgical environment. The ideal candidate will have strong OR experience, excellent critical thinking skills, and the ability to collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
 

Requirements:

✅ Minimum of 2 years recent Operating Room RN experience
✅ Previous travel nursing experience required
✅ Active RN License (compact or applicable state license)
✅ BLS Certification required
✅ NBSTSA Certification required
✅ Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical safety, and perioperative workflows

Call Requirements:

• Call rotation is required and assigned based on unit needs.
• Baseline call expectation includes:
  • Approximately one weekday call shift every other week as backup support for staffed night shift coverage.
  • Approximately one weekend call shift per month (24-hour call).
• Call requirements may vary based on staffing needs and surgical volume.
• The OR reserves the right to assign additional call shifts when needed.

Responsibilities:

✅Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.

✅Prepare operating rooms, surgical equipment, and supplies according to procedure requirements.

✅Maintain strict sterile technique and follow infection prevention protocols.

✅Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia teams, and surgical staff to support safe patient outcomes.

✅Monitor patient condition and respond appropriately to changes during procedures.

✅Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with hospital policies and safety standards.
