Intermediate Care (IMC) RN – High Acuity | Travel Contract
Position Highlights
- Strict 75-mile radius rule
- Traveler must live 75+ miles from the facility based on the address listed on their driver's license.
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required
Unit Overview
- Intermediate Care Unit (IMC)
- Functions as a bridge between Progressive Care (PCU) and Intensive Care (ICU)
- Provides care for higher-acuity patients requiring close monitoring and advanced nursing interventions
Patient Acuity
- Ventilator-dependent patients
- Patients receiving critical IV drips
- Complex medical conditions requiring advanced medication management
Patient Ratio
- 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio
Required Skills
- Strong medication management and titration proficiency
- Experience caring for high-acuity IMC/Stepdown patients
- Comfortable managing ventilated patients and critical drips
- Excellent assessment and critical thinking skills
Ideal Candidate
Experienced IMC, Stepdown, or ICU RN with strong clinical judgment, medication management expertise, and the ability to safely care for critically ill patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
