Travel RN – Day Shift (3×12s) | 

Position Highlights

• Shift: Days, 3×12 hours (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted (same rate)

Call Requirements

• Variable call schedule
• Typically:
  • 1 weekday call each week
  • 1 weekend call every 3–4 weeks

Floating

• Required within the facility and within the RN's scope of practice as needed

Hiring Process

• Clinical screening conducted first
• Candidates meeting Piedmont guidelines are forwarded to the hiring manager for final review

Holiday Requirements

Travelers are expected to work holidays based on assignment dates:

• 1 major holiday during assignment: Work 1
• 2 major holidays during assignment: Work both
• 3 major holidays during assignment: Work 2

Major Holidays Include:

• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving/Black Friday
• Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
• New Year's Eve/New Year's Day

Compliance

• Full compliance must be completed before the scheduled start date
• Delayed compliance may result in a 2-week start date delay due to the facility's bi-weekly orientation schedule

Orientation

• Non-billable orientation hours vary by contract length
  • Example: 8-hour contract = 8 orientation hours
  • 10-week contract = 10 orientation hours

Ideal Candidate

Experienced RN with at least 2 years of recent acute care experience who is flexible with call, floating, and holiday coverage, and can complete all compliance requirements before the start date.
