Join a highly skilled Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) team and make an impact caring for patients undergoing complex cardiac procedures. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced CVOR nurses looking for a rewarding travel assignment with guaranteed hours.

Position Details

• Specialty: CVOR Registered Nurse
• Shift: 10-hour day shifts
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Call: Required (rotating CVOR call coverage)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend with call/work rotation
• Float Requirement: Float within the OR to other specialties as needed
• Charting System: Cerner/SurgiNet

Unit Highlights

• Dedicated 1-suite CVOR
• Approximately 2 cardiac cases per week
• 2 RN circulators per case
• Charge RN creates next-day assignments
• Orientation provided for approximately one week or until comfortable

Common Procedures

• Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG)
• Aortic Valve Replacement (AVR)
• Mitral Valve Replacement (MVR)
• Thoracotomy

Requirements

• Active RN License
• BLS Certification
• ACLS Certification
• CVOR experience required
• BSN not required
• Scrubbing experience is a plus but not required

Call Information

• Dedicated CVOR call rotation
• One CVOR RN covers each night on a rotating schedule
• Call and weekend responsibilities are shared among the CVOR team

• Hospital-provided scrubs
• Acute Care setting
• No telemetry or ventilator responsibilities
• Cancellation policy: Up to 4 shifts may be canceled during a 13-week assignment
