Description

Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse – Nights

  • Shifts: 3x12 Nights | 36 Hours Guaranteed | Every Other Weekend (EOW)
  • Volume & Ratios: Heavy volume (170–200 patients daily). Ratios run standard 1:3 or 1:4 for low-acuity cases.

 

Submission Hardstops

  • Experience Baseline: Minimum 2 years of current ER experience is preferred, but the manager will accept 1 year of experience if it was gained in a large trauma center setting.
  • Required Certifications: Active AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS (or ENPC), NIHSS, and TNCC.
  • Licensure: Active Washington (WA) state license or multi-state Compact license in hand. (Willing to wait on license if background is exceptional).

 

Clinical Infrastructure Support Staff: Fully staffed with ED Techs, 24/7 in-house Security, Monitor Techs, ED Physicians, and Mid-Levels. Inpatient nurses frequently float down to handle inpatient boarding holds, though ER staff may manage them if needed. Phlebotomy & EKGs: Primary blood draws are completed by Nurses or ED Techs (Lab assists only with difficult access). ED Techs run EKGs; Respiratory Therapy (RT) manages all vents/BiPAPs and draws arterial blood gases (ABGs). Floating: No outside floating required.
