Travel Registered Nurse – Electrophysiology (EP Lab)

Location: Westerville, OH

Shift: Days | 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Contract Type: 13-Week Travel Assignment

Are you an experienced Electrophysiology (EP) Registered Nurse looking for your next travel opportunity? Join a collaborative cardiovascular team in Westerville, Ohio, where you'll play a vital role in providing exceptional care to patients undergoing complex electrophysiology procedures.

This is an excellent opportunity for an RN with strong cardiac experience who thrives in a fast-paced procedural environment and enjoys working alongside physicians and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care before, during, and after electrophysiology procedures.
• Prepare patients for EP studies, cardiac ablations, pacemaker insertions, ICD placements, and other electrophysiology procedures.
• Continuously monitor patient status, cardiac rhythms, and hemodynamic stability throughout procedures.
• Administer medications, sedation, and other therapies in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols.
• Assist physicians during invasive cardiac procedures while maintaining sterile technique.
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery expectations, and discharge instructions.
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record.
• Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and the interdisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.
• Ensure compliance with all infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Recent Electrophysiology (EP Lab) or Cath Lab nursing experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
