Description

Job Title: RN- Medical Intensive Care Unit
Job Location: Dayton, OH 
Contract Lenght: 13 weeks
Shift: 07:00 PM to 07:30 AM, 36 or 48 hour contract

*do not need license in hand to apply / must obtain required license before contract begins!*

Must have the following requirements: 

  • Pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting the assignment.
  • BLS, ACLS & Trachs - must be able to read and interpret strips
  • EPIC experience Required.
  • Nurses will be fitted for N95 prior to working on the HRRU unit unless PAPR is offered/needed.
  • Minimum 1.5 years' experience in a large hospital; level 1 preferred will accept level 2 experience.
  • Travel experience preferred

Floating and Other Requirements:

  • Traveler will be first to float at Premier's discretion. Agency will float in/out of specialty clusters. It will be assigned a medically appropriate assignment or support the nursing care team of the unit floated to, including high-risk respiratory unit/COVID.
  • If assigned to MVH, this could include floating main campus (Dayton) south campus (Centerville) less than 10 miles from Main Campus and North Campus (Englewood) less than 15 miles from Main Campus.
  • Traveler must be available to work every other weekend/holiday.
  • Premier Health reserves the right to cancel 2 shifts due to low census per 13-week contract.
  • Premier Health reserves the right to cancel agreement with 2 weeks' notice without fee or fine.
  • Travelers are not eligible for Premier health employee incentives. 

Unit Details:
40-bed, fast-paced, high acuity ICU. Bedside procedures include Endoscopy, Bronchoscopy, Trach, and G-Tube placement. Frequently recover patients immediately post opt. Special Equipment includes ICP monitoring, arterial lines, Flotrac monitoring, BIS, and train of four.

RTO
Request RTO with initial submittal; NO RTO will be added after the offer. RTO approval will be at the Manager's discretion. Submittal email must include application and current Nursys report, and other certs are not needed if listed on the application.
