Description
Job Title: Travel Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
Location: Louisville, KY
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM | No Weekends
Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by ensuring all surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies are sterile and ready for procedures.
- Assist surgeons and the surgical team before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Maintain a sterile field and adhere to infection prevention protocols.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures.
- Perform instrument counts and assist with specimen handling.
- Ensure patient safety and support efficient OR workflow.
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia providers, and other healthcare professionals.
Required Experience
Candidates must have recent experience in the following specialties:
- Hysterectomy
- Gynecology (GYN)
- Total Joint Replacement
- General Surgery
- Bariatric Surgery
- da Vinci Robotic Surgery
- ENT (Ear, Nose & Throat)
- Thoracic Surgery
- Neuro Spine Surgery
- Plastic Surgery
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification (required).
- Current BLS certification.
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
