Job Title: Travel Step Down Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Job Description: Join a highly supportive and collaborative team at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN. We are seeking an experienced Stepdown RN for a 13-week night shift contract. This 16-bed unit features fantastic CNA support, helpful charge nurses, and great teamwork in a Level II Trauma environment.

Contract Details:

• Start Date: 07/06/2026
• Shift: 12-hour Nights (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week (48-hour contracts available upon request)
• Rotation: 3 weekends per 6-week schedule and every other holiday.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 2 years RN experience, including 1 full year in stepdown, 1 prior travel assignment, and Trauma Level II experience.
• Certifications: Active Compact RN License, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Skills: Proficiency in Tele/12-lead EKG interpretation (testing required), initiating/titrating drips, and EPIC EMR.
• Radius Policy: Candidates must reside at least 40 miles from the facility.

Unit Highlights & Expectations:

• Patient Population: Cardiac (post-cath, pacers), CIWA, Sepsis, DKA, CVA, and post-surgical care.
• Ratios: 1:3–4 on nights.
• Floating: Must be flexible to float within your skillset, including potential cross-campus support to nearby Deaconess locations.
• Attire: Navy blue scrubs.
