Registered Nurse (RN) - Endoscopy

Location: Beckley, West Virginia
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Provide nursing care in the Endoscopy unit, serving adult and geriatric patient populations.
• Work in a Level 3 Trauma facility with a 4-bed Endoscopy GI unit.
• Participate in a variety of endoscopic procedures including EGD, Colonoscopy, ERCP, Bronchoscopy, and feeding tube placements.
• Facility uses Meditech electronic health records.
• Orientation occurs biweekly on Wednesdays.
• Must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as a traveler.

Schedule & Hours

• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36-40 hours per week.
• Weekend hours: Every other weekend or as needed.
• On-call requirements: On call/as needed.
• Float to other units as required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in West Virginia.
• Minimum of 1 year of Endoscopy nursing experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.

Work Environment & Culture

• Scrub color: Navy blue or hospital OR scrubs. Casual wear is not permitted.
• Facility accredited by the Joint Commission.
• Emphasis on dependability, professionalism, teamwork, and a strong work ethic.

Patient Population & Services

• Adult and geriatric patients.
• Facility treats approximately 13,000 patients annually and over 50,000 emergency room visits.
• Offers a wide range of surgical services including robotic surgery, spine, orthopedic, vascular, thoracic, interventional pain management, interventional cardiology, gynecological, general, oral, urological, eye, and trauma/emergency services.

• The client may require additional certifications beyond ACLS and BLS.
