Travel RN – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Float Pool
Location: Float Pool – PCU/IMCU Units
Job Type: Travel | 13-Week Contract (Extension Possible)
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse to join the Float Pool. This position will float to all PCU/IMCU units caring for primarily cardiac patient populations. Nurses should be comfortable managing high-acuity cardiac patients and may occasionally be assigned to telemetry beds within the same unit for lower-acuity patients.
Patient Population
- STEMI
- NSTEMI
- Chest Pain (C/P)
- Cardiothoracic Surgery (CTS) patients
- Cardiac telemetry patients
Patient Ratio
- 1:3–4
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of recent PCU/IMCU experience in a similar-sized acute care facility
- Experience caring for cardiac patients
- Experience managing cardiac drips, including:
- Milrinone
- Dobutamine
- Vasopressors (Pressors)
Required Certifications
- AHA BLS
- AHA ACLS
Additional Information
- Float to all PCU/IMCU units as needed
- May be assigned to telemetry patients with lower acuity
