Description
Job Title: RN – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Location: Concord, North Carolina
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 12-Hour Day Shift (36 Hours/Week) | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Job Description:
- Seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience.
- First-time travelers will not be considered.
- Provide comprehensive care for critically ill patients, including ventilated patients, stroke and thrombectomy patients, OptiFlow and BiPAP patients, overdose cases, CRRT, GI bleeds, trauma patients, and other complex critical care cases.
- Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1 to 1:3.
- Required Certifications:
- Active RN License
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
- Required ICU skills include:
- Management of critical care drips (insulin, vasopressors, sedation)
- Ventilator management
- Cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Management of arterial and central lines (ART/CVP)
- Chest tube management
- Blood product administration
- Wound care and dressing changes
- Experience with EPIC EMR is required.
- Floating is required within the assigned regional facilities based on staffing needs and within the RN scope of practice.
- No on-call responsibilities.
- Weekend rotation: Every other weekend.
- Travelers are expected to work 75% of scheduled holidays.
- Orientation includes hospital onboarding and 2 days of department-specific training.
- Scrub color: Navy Blue.

- Strong teamwork-focused unit with multidisciplinary support including Respiratory Therapy, IV Team, Hospitalists, Intensivists, and Charge Nurses available 24/7.
