Registered Nurse - Med Surg (Travel)

Location: Sierra Vista, Arizona
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 3x12 hour shifts (7a-7p / 7p-7a)
Hours per Week: 36 hours

Job Summary

• Acute Care Med/Surg unit with 34 beds
• Patient ratio approximately 6:1
• Patient population includes geriatric and adult patients; occasional pediatrics (not assigned to traveler)
• Unit uses Cerner EHR system
• Equipment includes Alaris pumps, SCD machines, feeding tubes, telemetry monitors
• Occasional weekend work required
• Call required only when unit is down staffed or placed on call
• Float assignments possible to care for inpatient holds

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Arizona
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 1 year of Med Surg and Telemetry experience within the last year
• More than one year of total travel nursing experience
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Telemetry experience preferred
• Flexible and willing to assist where needed

Additional Information

• Dress code: scrubs of any color and closed-toed shoes only
• Must occasionally work weekends
• Must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as a travel nurse

• Acute care setting in a high desert region of southeastern Arizona
• Patient types include telemetry, surgical, and general medical cases
• Team-oriented with a focus on flexibility and support
