Description

Interventional Radiologist

08/10-11/07
13 weeks
10 hour day shift - 7a-5:30p
40 hours guaranteed/week
No block scheduling is allowed
Floating is required but infrequent - will float to OR to setup C arm for bypass with stent placement procedures.
Weekend requirements are every 4th or 5th weekend.
Call is 1 weeknight weekly
Prior travel is not required
A minimum of 1 year of specialty is required.
ARRT is required
RT degree and VIR certification are preferred.

Unit specialties:

Vascular access: hemodialysis catheter insertion/exchanges.
CVS access: port a catheter, CT & US guided biopsies, chest tube insertions, thoracentesis, paracentesis
Insertion & exchanges of drainage catheters, nephrostomy tubes, biliary drains, pleurx catheters of effusions & ascites.
Angiograms with interventions, stenting, angioplasty, etc.
Gastrostomy and Jejunostomy exchanges.
Once monthly for half day a sports medicine doctor is on site for ESIs and other simple procedures.
