Description
Interventional Radiologist
- 08/10-11/07
- 13 weeks
- 10 hour day shift - 7a-5:30p
- 40 hours guaranteed/week
- No block scheduling is allowed
- Floating is required but infrequent - will float to OR to setup C arm for bypass with stent placement procedures.
- Weekend requirements are every 4th or 5th weekend.
- Call is 1 weeknight weekly
- Prior travel is not required
- A minimum of 1 year of specialty is required.
- ARRT is required
- RT degree and VIR certification are preferred.
Unit specialties:
- Vascular access: hemodialysis catheter insertion/exchanges.
- CVS access: port a catheter, CT & US guided biopsies, chest tube insertions, thoracentesis, paracentesis
- Insertion & exchanges of drainage catheters, nephrostomy tubes, biliary drains, pleurx catheters of effusions & ascites.
- Angiograms with interventions, stenting, angioplasty, etc.
- Gastrostomy and Jejunostomy exchanges.
- Once monthly for half day a sports medicine doctor is on site for ESIs and other simple procedures.
