Description

We're seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for a Neuro ICU assignment at a Comprehensive Stroke Center. This is an excellent opportunity for nurses with a strong neuro critical care background who are comfortable caring for high-acuity neurological patients.

 

Shift Details

  • Schedule: 3x12 Nights
  • Hours: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
  • Contract Length: 13 Weeks
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • Call: None
  • Floating: Required as needed

Unit Highlights

  • 13-bed Neuro ICU
  • Average daily census: 11–12 patients
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio: 2:1 (may flex to 3:1 during high census)

Patient Population

Care for critically ill neurological patients including:

  • Ischemic & hemorrhagic strokes (SAH)
  • Acute stroke/CVA
  • Subdural hematomas (SDH)
  • Post-craniotomy and post-neurosurgical patients
  • Carotid stents & carotid endarterectomies
  • Aneurysm coiling/clipping
  • Seizures
  • Myasthenia gravis
  • Traumatic brain injuries
  • Spinal cord injuries

Required Experience

Minimum 2 years of recent Neuro ICU experience (required – no exceptions)

First-time travelers will not be considered.
