Description
Unit: Critical Access/ED - Director of Nursing
CLINICAL INTERVIEW W/MGR APPROVAL
Experience Required: Minimum 5 years experience, candidates must have recent mangement experience, preferably in a hospital setting; will accept first time travelers
Certs Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS
Unit Info: 20-bed unit
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: Patient population: COPD Exacerbation, Diabetes, Behavioral Health, Chest Pain, URI, UTI, Trauma, Chest Pain, Stroke. All ages
Skills required: Familiar with EMTALA, understanding state and federal regulations, comfortable being hands-on and helping on the floor and in the ER when needed, helping with codes if needed (mixing meds). Understanding of trauma coordination, case management, budget planning/management, familiar with Union Contracts. Soft Skills: comfortable managing different personality types and understanding staff strength/weaknesses, comfortable speaking with providers, comfortable being a reassuring leader
