Description

2 years minimum clinical experience.
1 year Minimum in ED
Certs: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP
Nurse/Patient ratio: 1:5 Max, typically 1: 3-4
2-3 days of Orientation
Patient Modality: Acute, Skilled, Hospice
Special Equipment: ICU medical IV pumps, Nihon Kohden bedside monitors, Novastat glucometer, Airvo, Bipap
Specific Procedures and Protocols: IV start, EKGs, O2 initiation and weaning, bipap, standard nursing skills, sepsis, stroke, MI, trauma
Discontinuing sheaths
Drips and infusions are frequent
