Job Description

• Position is for the open-heart surgical team in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR).
• Call duty approximately 10 days per month, including 1 or occasionally 2 weekends, with a 30-minute call response time.
• Primary cases include scrubbing cardiac bypass, valve replacements, and robotic lung surgeries.
• Must be willing to scrub general OR cases if not needed in the CVOR.

Required Qualifications

• Valid CVOR Technologist license in Illinois
• Minimum of 2 years of CVOR Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) certification
• Experience scrubbing cardiac bypass cases
• Experience scrubbing valve replacement cases
• Experience scrubbing robotic lung cases
• Operating Room (OR) Technologist experience
