Job Description: X-Ray Technician (Radiologic Technologist)

Schedule: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Monday – Friday
Additional Requirements: Every Other Weekend (EOW) and On-Call Rotation

Position Summary:
The X-Ray Technician will provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services in a fast-paced hospital environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 18 months of experience in radiologic technology, the ability to work independently, and experience operating GE imaging equipment. The role requires comfort working in the Operating Room (OR) and the ability to perform imaging procedures safely and efficiently within a large 900-bed healthcare facility.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures according to physician orders and established protocols.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot a variety of imaging equipment, including GE equipment.
• Demonstrate proficiency in equipment setup, utilization, quality control, and proper care of imaging technology.
• Provide imaging support in the Operating Room and maintain sterile technique when required.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning during procedures.
• Review images for quality and accuracy while following departmental standards.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare team members to support effective patient care.
• Stay current with advances in radiologic technology, clinical practices, healthcare informatics, and imaging software/hardware innovations.
• Participate in on-call coverage and weekend rotation as required.
• Function independently while managing workload in a high-volume hospital setting.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience as an X-Ray Technician/Radiologic Technologist (18+ months required).
• Graduate of an accredited Radiography Program.
• Current New Jersey State Radiologic Technologist (RT) License.
• ARRT Certification.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Experience working with GE imaging equipment preferred.
• Previous OR imaging experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to work independently in a large hospital environment.
