Description

Travel ICU / Trauma ICU RN

Shift: 12-hour shifts (6:45 AM–7:15 PM / 6:45 PM–7:15 AM)
Experience: 2–3+ years ICU/Trauma ICU (Previous travel experience preferred)
Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS
Preferred: PALS (Required after 6 months if assignment extends)
Required Skills: ICP monitoring and ventriculostomy (EVD) experience (or post-tPA care if no ventric experience), ventilator management, trauma ICU, vasopressor and sedation drips, telemetry interpretation
Unit: 30-bed ICU/Trauma ICU
Patient Ratio: 1:1–1:2 (primarily 1:2)
Patient Population: Trauma, Stroke, Head Injuries, Neuro ICU, Ventriculostomies
EMR/Monitoring: GE Telemetry (RN interprets rhythms)
Support: 24/7 Intensivist, dedicated ICU Respiratory Therapist, Charge RN without assignment
Weekend: Every other weekend
Float: PCU, CICU (ICU patients only), Telemetry, or Med Surg
Scheduling: Self-scheduling reviewed by manager; no block scheduling
Orientation: 1 unit orientation day (additional if needed)
Scrubs: Navy Blue
