Description
Job Title: Registered Cardiac Sonographer / Echocardiography Technologist (Travel Contract)
Position Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- First-time travelers are accepted; however, candidates must have strong experience as a sonographer
- Previous permanent employment with any Providence-affiliated facility requires a minimum 3-month separation from the health system before qualifying for a travel contract
Required Certifications:
- BLS certification
- ARDMS certification (Required)
Clinical Experience & Work Settings:
- Adult Acute Care
- Adult Outpatient
- Emergency Department (ER)
- Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Required Skills & Procedures:
- Adult Echocardiography
- 2-D Echocardiography
- 3-D Echocardiography
- Bubble Studies
- Color Doppler Imaging
- Imaging with Contrast Agents
- Pharmacologic Stress Echo
- Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE)
- Treadmill Stress Echo
Required Calculations Knowledge:
- Simpson's Rule
- Diastology
- LV Strain / LV Volume Analysis
- Proximal Isovelocity Surface Area (PISA)
Equipment Experience:
Experience with the following ultrasound systems is preferred:
- GE
- Hitachi
- Philips
- Siemens
- SonoSite
- Toshiba
- PACS systems
