Description
Job Title: Radiology Tech (ARRT)
Location: Lexington, KY 40503
Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: 08/10/2026
Shift: 4x10s | 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday)
Hours: 40 Hours/Week
Call/Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Yes
Pay/Bill Rate: $87/hr Bill Rate
Job Summary
Provides health care services using pulsed X-ray energy to assist in diagnosis and treatment. Performs radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, computer processing, and related imaging techniques while ensuring quality patient care and adherence to professional and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic imaging procedures.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images for Radiologist review.
- Verify patient identity, orders, and medical history.
- Monitor patients throughout examinations and procedures.
- Utilize radiation protection practices and ALARA principles.
- Assist Radiologists and authorized providers during procedures.
- Perform peripheral venipuncture when required.
- Document patient care activities, incidents, medications, and contrast reactions in the EHR.
- Complete equipment warm-up and quality control checks.
- Maintain supplies, linens, and equipment readiness.
- Report equipment malfunctions and safety concerns.
- Assist with staff training, competency assessments, and student clinical instruction.
- Coordinate patient exams with nursing and transport teams.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and departmental protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree from a JRCERT-accredited Radiology Program.
- Current ARRT Registry in Radiography RT(R).
- Current Kentucky Radiation License (Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy).
- BLS Certification.
- Less than one (1) year of experience.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to operate radiology equipment effectively.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
