Travel Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery

Location: Wisconsin
Shift: Variable 12-Hour Shifts
Contract: 13 Weeks

Join a busy Labor & Delivery team providing comprehensive care for mothers and newborns in a collaborative LDRP environment. This assignment is ideal for experienced L&D nurses who are confident managing labor, postpartum, and newborn care.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for laboring patients, postpartum mothers, and healthy newborns.
• Perform maternal and newborn assessments, medication administration, and patient education.
• Manage obstetric medications including oxytocin, insulin, and magnesium infusions.
• Assist with neonatal resuscitation and provide care for stable newborns.
• Float within the department as needed and occasionally assist as a sitter on other units.

Requirements

• Active RN License
• BLS Certification
• NRP Certification
• Recent Labor & Delivery experience
• Comfortable caring for labor, postpartum, couplets, and newborns
• Experience with neonatal resuscitation required

Assignment Highlights

• 8 Labor & Delivery beds
• 12 Postpartum beds
• 1 OR for C-sections
• Approximately 100–120 deliveries per month
• AWHONN staffing guidelines followed
• Self-scheduling available
• Every third Friday, Saturday, and Sunday weekend rotation
• Hospital-provided scrubs
• One day each of Labor & Delivery and Postpartum orientation plus online education
