Travel Registered Nurse – Intermediate Care (IMC)

Shift: 12-Hour Days, Evenings, or Nights
Contract: 13 Weeks

Join a fast-paced Intermediate Care unit with a strong cardiac focus, providing care for patients requiring close monitoring and specialized medical management. This assignment is ideal for experienced Telemetry, Stepdown, or IMC nurses with cardiac experience.

Responsibilities

• Care for cardiac and medical patients, including pre/post cardiac catheterization, pre-CABG, chest pain, NSTEMI, CHF, COPD, dialysis, stroke overflow, diabetes, and other complex medical conditions.
• Monitor telemetry and manage titratable drips.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Float to other Medical-Surgical units or within scope of practice as needed.

Requirements

• Active RN License
• BLS Certification
• NIHSS Certification
• Minimum 1 year of Telemetry, IMC, or Stepdown experience
• Strong cardiac nursing experience required
• Experience managing titratable drips (Heparin, Insulin, Nitro, Diltiazem, Lasix)
• Previous travel experience preferred

Assignment Highlights

• 28-bed Intermediate Care Unit
• Typical ratios:
  • Days: 1:5
  • Nights: 1:5–7 (must be comfortable with up to 7 patients)
• 24/7 telemetry monitoring
• Every other weekend (Friday–Sunday)
• Every other holiday
• No on-call requirement
• Any clean, professional scrub color accepted
