Travel Registered Nurse – Medical Telemetry

Shift: 12-Hour Days, Evenings, or Nights
Contract: 13 Weeks

Join a dynamic Medical Telemetry unit caring for medically complex adult patients in a collaborative, team-focused environment. This assignment is ideal for experienced acute care nurses who are comfortable managing telemetry patients and titratable drips.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients with oncology/hematology, GI bleeds, PE/DVT, sepsis, CHF, COPD, pneumonia, weakness, failure to thrive, and other complex medical conditions.
• Monitor telemetry patients and manage titratable drips and blood transfusions.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, and the interdisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality care.
• Float to other Medical-Surgical units or assist as an observer/helping hands when needed.

Requirements

• Active RN License
• BLS Certification
• Recent acute care Medical-Surgical or Telemetry experience
• Experience managing titratable drips including Heparin, Insulin, Cardizem, Nitro, Amiodarone, and Octreotide
• Comfortable caring for medically complex patients
• Previous travel experience preferred

Assignment Highlights

• 27-bed Medical Telemetry Unit
• Typical ratios:
  • Days: 1:4–5
  • Nights: 1:6 (occasionally up to 1:7)
• Centralized telemetry monitoring
• Every other weekend (Friday–Sunday)
• Holiday rotation required
• No on-call requirement
• Any clean, professional scrub color (no competing health system logos)
