Travel Interventional Radiology / Vascular Technologist

Shift: 4x10-Hour Days (7:00 AM–5:30 PM) or 5x8-Hour Days (7:00 AM–3:30 PM)
Contract: 13 Weeks

Join a high-volume Interventional Radiology and Vascular team supporting advanced diagnostic and interventional procedures in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare procedure rooms and maintain radiation safety standards.
• Set up sterile fields and assist physicians during IR and vascular procedures.
• Operate and troubleshoot fluoroscopy and hemodynamic monitoring equipment.
• Assist with guidewire manipulation, catheter placement, balloon and stent deployment, sheath removal, and room turnover.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and imaging support throughout procedures.

Requirements

• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience
• Experience with vascular and endovascular procedures preferred
• Experience using Merge, Cerner, and Siemens equipment preferred

Common Procedures

• Port placements
• Liver biopsies
• PICC and central line placements
• IVC filter placements
• G-tube placements
• Neuro interventions (coiling, thrombectomy, embolization)
• Fem-pop bypass procedures
• AAA repair
• Carotid interventions
• EVAR
• Peripheral angiograms

Assignment Highlights

• 7 procedural rooms (4 Cath Lab/EP, 3 IR/Vascular)
• Over 20 procedures performed daily
• 4x10 schedule with rotating weekday off (5x8 schedule may be considered)
• Weekday, weekend, and holiday call rotation
• 30-minute call response time
• Hospital-provided scrubs
• 2–3 days of orientation with buddy call before independent call
