Description
8H Days 8 hour shifts, call rotation (1-2 days per week, every 2nd-4th weekend, rotating holidays).
Types of procedures required. Circulate surgery cases, pull and prep for surgery cases, work from a preference card system, set-up/clean/turnover OR rooms, great organizational and note taking skills. Surgical specialties include general, OB/GYN, urology, orthopedics, podiatry, ENT, cardiovascular, and bariatrics.2.Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.)
Computer charting via the Epic system, medications stored in the Pyxis system and in Pharmacy, surgical equipment such as arthroscopic pumps and shavers, cautery machines, laser, fracture table, c-arm xray, etc.
3.Required skills and minimum years of experience, 2 year minimum OR experience
4.Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required.SD RN License, BLS, ACLS, PALS preferred.
