Description

Travel Intermediate Care Registered Nurse (IMC RN)

Shift: 12-Hour Variable Days/Nights (Rotating Weekly or Every Two Weeks)
Contract: 13 Weeks

Join a fast-paced Intermediate Care Unit providing high-quality care for patients requiring close monitoring and advanced nursing skills.

Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive care to Intermediate Care/Stepdown patients.
Monitor telemetry, manage insulin drips, and care for patients with sepsis, GI bleeds, trauma, stroke, spinal cord injuries, chest tubes, and orthopedic conditions.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective patient care.
Float to inpatient units and nearby affiliated facilities as needed.

Requirements

Active Wisconsin or Compact RN License
AHA or ARC BLS and ACLS certifications
Minimum 2 years of Stepdown, Intermediate Care, or PCU experience
At least one completed travel assignment required
Epic EMR experience strongly preferred

Assignment Highlights

13-week contract
36 guaranteed hours per week
Rotating 12-hour day/night shifts
Every other weekend and holiday rotation
4:1 patient ratio
Fast-paced Intermediate Care unit with telemetry
Opportunity to float within the health system as needed
Any professional scrub color accepted
