Location: Lancaster OH 43130

Job Type: 13 Weeks Contract + possible extensions

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Nights Shift 3x12 Hours

Schedule: 3 days/week

Expected Hours: 36 hours per week

Local candidates accepted as well, pay for locals: $50 - $55/hr

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of Med-Surg nursing experience and be skilled in providing comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced acute care environment. The RN will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
• Monitor patient conditions and report significant changes to physicians and healthcare providers.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
• Implement physician orders and maintain appropriate patient documentation.
• Provide patient and family education throughout hospitalization and discharge planning.
• Coordinate care with physicians, nursing assistants, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure patient safety and maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Utilize critical thinking and clinical judgment to prioritize patient needs.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner EMR.
• Assist with patient handling, mobility, and other direct patient care activities.
   

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a RN - Med surg/Tele
• Active Ohio or Compact state RN License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
