Description

Travel Cardiac ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
Contract: 13 Weeks

Join a high-acuity Cardiac ICU caring for critically ill cardiac patients, including post-operative open heart cases, cardiogenic shock, and acute myocardial infarction.

Requirements

Active Wisconsin RN License
BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
CCRN preferred but not required
Minimum 2 years of Cardiac ICU experience
Required experience with:
- Swan-Ganz catheters
- Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps (IABP)
- Post-operative open heart patients
Epic experience preferred

Unit Highlights

12-bed Cardiac ICU
Patient population includes:
- Post-op open heart surgery
- Acute MI (AMI)
- Cardiogenic shock
- Induced hypothermia
- Critical cardiac care
Nurse-to-patient ratios:
- 2:1 standard ICU
- 1:1 for Impella patients
- CRRT experience preferred
Frequent bedside cardioversions, line placement, and line removal

Assignment Details

13-week contract
36 guaranteed hours per week
12-hour night shifts
Float to inpatient units as needed, primarily within critical care and acute care
Every 2–3 weekends (Friday–Sunday)
Every other holiday
Any solid-color professional scrubs accepted
