Description

Travel Short Stay Unit Registered Nurse (RN) – Intermediate Care

Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
Contract: 13 Weeks

Join a fast-paced Short Stay/Observation Unit providing intermediate-level care for medical, telemetry, and post-procedural patients in a high-turnover environment.

Requirements

Active Wisconsin RN License
BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
NIHSS highly preferred
Minimum 3 years of RN experience
At least 1 completed travel assignment required
Epic EMR experience required
Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
Must successfully complete an EKG exam during compliance

Unit Highlights

8-bed Observation/Intermediate Care Unit
1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
Typical patient population includes:
- Anemia
- Cellulitis
- COPD
- Dehydration
- Pre/Post-op Urology and GI patients
Experience with Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, and Heparin drips preferred
Average patient stay up to 48 hours
High volume of admissions and discharges

Assignment Details

13-week contract
36 guaranteed hours per week
12-hour night shifts
Float to inpatient units as needed, including Intermediate Care and Cardiac Telemetry
Every other weekend and holiday
Professional scrubs of any solid color accepted
