Description
Position Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of current CVICU experience required.
- Fresh open-heart (post-operative cardiac surgery) experience is required.
- Experience working with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio.
- Experience with Meditech EMR is required.
Required Certifications & Licensure
- AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
- AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification
- Active Kentucky RN License or Compact (Multistate) RN License
Scheduling & Floating
- Floating is required within the RN's scope of practice.
- Every other weekend is required.
- Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated.
Assignment Details
- Standard schedule is 36/48 hours over a two-week pay period, unless otherwise specified on the job order.
- Nurse-to-patient ratios may fluctuate based on patient census, staffing, and operational needs.
- Orientation is conducted bi-weekly.
- The start date listed on the job order is the required assignment start date.
- Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to qualify. Local candidates are not eligible.
