Description

Position Requirements

Minimum 2+ years of current CVICU experience required.
Fresh open-heart (post-operative cardiac surgery) experience is required.
Experience working with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio.
Experience with Meditech EMR is required.

Required Certifications & Licensure

AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
NIH Stroke Scale Certification
Active Kentucky RN License or Compact (Multistate) RN License

Scheduling & Floating

Floating is required within the RN's scope of practice.
Every other weekend is required.
Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated.

Assignment Details

Standard schedule is 36/48 hours over a two-week pay period, unless otherwise specified on the job order.
Nurse-to-patient ratios may fluctuate based on patient census, staffing, and operational needs.
Orientation is conducted bi-weekly.
The start date listed on the job order is the required assignment start date.
Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to qualify. Local candidates are not eligible.
