Description
Position: Registered Respiratory Therapist
Location: Boise, ID
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
Weekly Expected Hours: 36 hours
Note:- The client has 50 miles radius rules. Locals are not accepted.
Job Overview
The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides comprehensive respiratory care to patients across the lifespan, including adult, neonatal (NICU), and pediatric (PEDS) populations. The RRT is responsible for assessing, treating, and monitoring patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions while collaborating with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, treat, and monitor adult, neonatal (NICU), and pediatric patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders.
- Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and prescribed respiratory medications.
- Operate, manage, and troubleshoot mechanical ventilators for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients.
- Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) collection and interpretation.
- Assist with airway management, including intubation support, extubation, and emergency airway procedures.
- Provide respiratory support during medical emergencies, including code blue and rapid response events.
- Perform pulmonary hygiene therapies, chest physiotherapy, suctioning, and airway clearance techniques.
Monitor patient response to treatment and modify therapy based on physician orders and clinical assessment.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Idaho Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience.
- Must have recent Adult, NICU, and Pediatric respiratory therapy experience.
- Current BLS Certification (AHA).
- Current ACLS Certification (AHA).
- Current PALS Certification (AHA).
- Current NRP Certification (AHA)
